Our Story
Morning Times exists to fill a specific gap in the UK digital news landscape: clear, sourced explainers on the stories that matter to British and international English-speaking readers. From Westminster politics and business policy to technology regulation and social affairs, we make complex subjects accessible without oversimplification. Every article is built on primary and reputable secondary sources, and each piece is attributed to a named writer who takes responsibility for their work.
Substance over speed — why it happened, what it means, and what comes next.
Editorial philosophy
Our editorial philosophy, shaped by Editor-in-Chief Elena Borg Cassar, is grounded in substance over speed. We do not chase clicks or break news for its own sake. Instead we focus on explanation, which demands rigour at every stage of production — a structured process that begins with topic research and ends with periodic review and updates.
How the newsroom works
Every draft undergoes editorial review for accuracy and structure, followed by fact-checking of key claims, figures and dates. No piece is published without final approval from an editor. Where AI tools are used — for research, drafting, summarisation or editing — they never replace human judgement; every article published on Morning Times has been reviewed by a human editor.
Corrections & transparency
When errors occur, we correct them promptly and conspicuously. Readers can report mistakes to contact@morningtimes.uk, and material corrections carry a note explaining the change. Morning Times is operated by Morning Times Media Malta Ltd and is accountable to its readers.
